THE HOLY SPIRIT Acts. 2:1-4 The Holy Spirit.: That name (Holy Spirit) describes his chief attribute: He is a perfectly holy and spotless God, free of any sin or darkness. He shares the strengths of God the Father and Jesus, such as A. omniscience, B. omnipotence, and C. eternality. Likewise, D. He is all-loving, E. forgiving, F. merciful and G. just. A. Who is Holy Spirit? 1. Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. Gen 1:2, Isai. 61:1 2. Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. 1 John 5:7-8, 2Cor. 13:14 3. Holy Spirit is the zeal of the saints. Eph. 4:30 4. Holy Spirit is carrier of God's love, power and courage. Acts 1:8, Romans 5:5, Acts 4:31 B. Holy Spirit works in the life of Christian (a believer). Among which are these: 1. He quickens the body. John 6:63 2. Holy spirit helps our infirmity. Romans 8:26 3. The Holy Spirit Is a Source of Revelation, Wisdom, and Power “These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except for their own spirit within them? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God” (1 Corinthians 2:10-11). 4.
